Proud to present the ACADIANA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA featuring the world-renowned classical violinist, Ms. ELIZABETH PITCAIRN, performing on her famous 1736 Stradivarius Red Violin! They will be performing music from Virgil Thompson’s PULITZER PRIZE-WINNING score from Robert Flaherty’s beautiful 1948 film “Louisiana Story”.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the film’s 1949 Southern Gala Premiere which has deep historical roots in Abbeville and Iberia Parish, originally premiering at the Frank’s Theater in downtown Abbeville.
