  • Get Involved – Join a Chamber Committee!

Working with a committee is a great way to network and meet people, be involved in an issue that interests you, and learn and practice leadership skills. Below is a brief summary of each Vermilion Chamber Committee.

    Business Advocacy Committee –

The Business Advocacy Committee (BAC) is responsible for helping determine Chamber Policy and direction on issues important to business and business development, for developing a legislative agenda, and for communicating issues to the Board of Directors and general membership. As the voice of business, this committee will be charged with building relationships and networks between the Vermilion Chamber and elected officials across all levels of government, acting as liaison for the chamber in assisting with local, regional and state economic development organization efforts, and assisting any active chamber member who seeks advice, aid and/or representation regarding business issues.

One way issues are identified, which impact the business community, is through input provided by our membership. If you are a Vermilion Chamber member in good standing, have identified an issue, proposed a project or ordinance, which could impact the business community, simply complete the Vermilion Chamber's Business Advocacy Request Form.
